Review
In front of me is a new vegetarian cookbook:
The Modern Ayurvedic Cookbook. Ayurvedic is a big word that may turn casual readers away, but for serious foodies seeking soothing and healing recipes, vegans and those who are into holistic health, this one works.... It's a friendly cookbook that anyone can use and appreciate, including those who just enjoy cooking and those who simply love
Indian Vegetarian Cuisine.

I am pleased that Amrita Sondhi has written such a wonderful book! Not only as a cookbook, but also as a valuable resource and as a comprehensive introduction to the profound health science of Ayurveda, I heartily recommend this book! The recipes are tasty and easy to prepare, and the appendices offer important information on yoga-asana, aromatherapy, color therapy, and detailed menu plans, making it one of the most user friendly books about Ayurveda I know.

What a delightful, delicious book this is. A book designed for truly nourishing your individual bodies and ensuring that everyone you cook for leaves the table feeling good, centred, and as Amrita says, "joyful."
